Compatibility Cross-Reference & Model Map

RHID Railway RFID — AAR S-918 / ISO 10374

RHID railway RFID products (RHD916A reader and RHD-916TAG tag) are compliant with the open standards AAR S-918 and ISO 10374. Because these are published interoperability standards, RHID equipment works with other standard-compliant tags and readers. The tables below give a model-level cross-reference for procurement, replacement, and system-integration planning.

Scope. This page covers interoperability under AAR S-918 / ISO 10374 (915 MHz UHF backscatter, FM0 / AAR encoding) only. Other UHF RFID standards — for example EPC Class 1 Gen 2 / ISO 18000-63 (used by Siemens SIMATIC RF650R/RF680R, Impinj, Zebra) — are different air interfaces and are not covered here; RHD916A / RHD-916TAG do not interoperate with Gen2 equipment.

Verified interoperability (confirmed by RHID)

The RHD916A reads TransCore AT5110 / AT5118 / AT5133 tags, and TransCore AEI readers read the RHD-916TAG — they share the same AAR S-918 air interface (915 MHz UHF backscatter, FM0 / AAR encoding). Operation is bidirectional; no reader change is required when replacing foreign tags.

TransCore AT5110 / AT5118 / AT5133 AAR S-918 RHD-916TAG Yes — bidirectional Same air interface; confirmed by RHID. AT5118 = standard-temp tag, AT5133 = high-temp tag.
Amtech (TransCore) AAR S-918 tags AAR S-918 RHD-916TAG Yes Amtech's technology is the basis of AAR S-918 and Amtech was acquired by TransCore. Legacy Amtech tags interoperate by standard.

Accuracy note. Interoperability depends on matching air interface and data format. Where a specific model's air interface is uncertain, verify against actual units before deployment.
